After living with a toxic name for more than a century, the Canadian city of Asbestos put out a call to the public asking citizens to help them choose a new name.  Greenpeace Canada submitted 6 names, inspired by 6 endangered species found in the Eastern Townships region where the city is located.​​​​​​​
